Mr Lesetja Kola

Lesetja Jacob Kola pursued a BSC degree at the (UL) University of Limpopo Turfloop campus, majoring in Physics and Chemistry. During his senior years at campus he worked at the physics department as a junior Physics Lab assistant, where he simply assisted first year students on their practical performance guidelines and demonstrations, the platform that sparked an interest in teaching science and practical demonstration of science applications. Lesetja is now a natural science teacher and a Teach SA ambassador.

Mr Mbangiso Mabaso

Mbangiso is a founder of Sisanda Tech, He is the mission of developing a digital science laboratory for schools. I’m passionate about learning, I believe every human being can be come a super learner.

Mr Pontsho Moletsane

Pontsho Moletsane is a civil engineering technician with an interest in water conservation and water demand management.

Pontsho has been recognized by several entities for his innovative ideas. Some of the platforms which have recognized this individual include first places in Stockholm Junior Water Prize, South African Youth Water Prize, South African Breweries Kickstart Ignite, En-novate and Investec top 15 Agriculture Entrepreneurs to go to Israel, GAIA and AWARD top 30 AgTechstartups in southern and central Africa among others.

All of these are from the entity he co-founded with other young talents, called Yellow Beast (Pty) Ltd, which has been exposed to UNLEASH Lab in Denmark, AgriWater Challenge 2018 in Cape Town this year, the International Water Association Waterloss Challenge 2018.

Ms Dineo Gomba

Dineo Gomba is a medical student, she completed her 6 years medical study in Cuba university under the Nelson Mandel- Fidel Castro collaboration. Dineo is currently at the University of Limpopo to finish of her studies so she can graduate as medical doctor. While she was studying in Cuba, Dineo served on the Union for African students, Student Representative Council.

The chalkboard scientist seek to put spotlight on young scientist, engineers and technologist who were once learners of public schools. The panelists comes from the schools that didn’t have science laboratories where they can perform their experiments. The name Chalkboard Scientist comes from the point that teachers used to write an experiments on a chalkboard and we just we copy the results. On this Platform the scientist will be sharing their experiences and how did they thrive against all odds.
