Programme overview
In total the SFSA 2024 held three plenary sessions, 68 panels, 30 side events, 80 exhibitions. The side events included the African Union event on Youth Innovation, A masterclass in science diplomacy presented by the Science Diplomacy Capital for Africa platform, and a training programme for science journalists of Southern Africa. South Africa’s first report on the South African Public Relationship with Science survey was also launched.

The theme for the Forum was Placing Science, Technology and Innovation at the Centre of Government, Education, Industry and Society.
